The 48th Spirit of the Woods Folk Festival *

Saturday, June 20, 2026 - Noon to 8pm

The Spirit of the Woods Folk Festival is a free one day, family friendly event with music and crafts in a tree shaded park in the small town of Brethren, Michigan. The festival is always held on the third Saturday of June.

Surrounded by the Manistee National Forest, near the lovely Manistee River and a few miles from the beaches of Lake Michigan, the festival is a great destination on its own or as part of an exploration of an area full of beauty and opportunities for adventure. Camping is not available on-site but there are many campgrounds nearby.

As for music, Spirit of the Woods is known for a rich variety of roots music, brought in from near and far. We have music on two stages, a regional craft fair, children's activities and a food vendor.
